TEPR 2008 has two Recognition Programs:

1. TEPR 2008 AWARDS PROGRAM CATEGORIES

   Personal Health Record Systems
   First, second and third Honors will be given to providers of Personal Health Record Systems. Independent judges will assess criteria, e.g., data, data integrity, security, consumer control, to select the finalists to be judged at TEPR.

   Hot Products
   In this open category, any eligible vendor may submit their solution for consideration. Independent judges will look for open free-style description for the most innovative products that bring the most positive benefits or change to healthcare. Judges will select up to ten finalists to be judged at TEPR.

   EMR Systems or IT Solutions that Best Meet Medicolegal Requirements
   Independent judges will judge such criteria as authentication, validation of data content, signature type, signature procedure, authentication by data elements, data integrity, auditing, storage, and additional security features in a point system. Judges will select the finalists to be judged at TEPR.

2. MEDICAL RECORDS INSTITUTE'S COMPARE PROGRAMS

   Comparison and recognition without judging or awards on MRI’s Website for the following product categories:

• EMRCompare^SM – comparing EMR systems for practices by cost, functionality, and usability. For functionality, EMRCompare is based on 129 DHHS functions, 52 based on CCR/CDA (Continuity of Care Record/Document), and 29 on workflow issues.
• MTCompare^SM – comparing medical transcription businesses and their services
• HIT ConsultantCompare^SM – comparing consultants and their services in health information technology

These programs have no judges, are transparent, self-declared, and offered free to users on MRI’s Website. (Note: Product/service enrollees pay a modest participation fee. MRI does not receive a kickback for sales resulting from users selecting enrolled products/services.)
