Boston, MA - April 3, 2008 - Medical Records
Institute (MRI) announces a new TEPR Award category: EMRs
Best Meeting Medicolegal Requirements. Honorees will be
announced at the TEPR 2008 opening session on Monday, May
19, in Fort Lauderdale FL.
This new TEPR Award is the first major effort to challenge
EMR vendors to demonstrate that their products meet a range
of EMR medicolegal requirements, including identity and
authentication, document version management, signature events,
data integrity and document event auditing functions.
TEPR Awards have a long history of recognizing leading
EMR and health IT solutions, with honorees gaining market
recognition and customers guidance toward selecting and
implementing EMRs and other health IT solutions.
Prior to TEPR, candidates for the award (who must be TEPR
exhibitors) will complete a questionnaire designed by a
team of independent attorneys, legal experts, and EMR and
health information management professionals. Judges will
score the submissions to determine finalists, who must make
a 15-minute demonstration to the panel of judges at TEPR
in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, May 18, 2008. These presentations
will be open to all TEPR registrants, including members
of the press. Judges will then determine first, second,
and third honors to be announced at the TEPR opening session
on Monday, May 19.
Other TEPR 2008 Awards categories include Hot Products
and Personal Health Records. All TEPR Award categories have
similar requirements and processes for vendor submissions.
